    Default Autocross Victoria

The old man and I are picking up an Alfa 33 this weekend as an Autocross race car, just wondering if anyone here has been involved with this series? Looks like a fantastic entry point to motorsport!

Yes, one of the best forms of motorsport, cheap and a lot of fun.
Good idea to go for front wheel drive, most competitive except for the turbo 4wds and open wheelers.
Many events throughout the year, if you are in SE Vic Boisdale near Maffra may be the closest?

I am part of Kyneton car club, but that is still a reasonable distance from Skye. Bendigo vcas event are always we'll run and worth a look, we are running on the same day unfortunately. Have a look at the vcas website, it shows you what tracks we use, and what clubs are involved. You can race as a member of the Alfa club, but I don't think they are eligible for points.

I think the most heated compation will be between the two drivers
from the little poking around i have done thus far it seems the Cardinia park is nearest us, only about a halfa...
However we have a bit of land, and a tractor grader

Cardinia park would be the track that Pakenham Auto Club is getting up and running, could be a while before it is built and functional, although a trial event was held the other day.
Alfa club has nothing to do with motorsport away from bitumen.
Pakenham Auto Club would be a good club to join, close by and very much in to Autocross, Khanacross etc.

    Pakenham Auto Club Inc.-Home

They also have a member with a GTV6 rally car.
