Default F1 engine regulations have been relaxed for 2015 for Renault and Ferrrari

Renault and Ferrari have got their wishes through with relaxation of the engine regulations for 2015 permitting changes to 48% of last years engine.

I have read some reports where they claim Mercedes already had extra 70 hp available for next year even with the old restricted engine improvement. If that is true it will be interesting to see if Renault/Ferrari will be able to bridge the power deficit or if Mercedes will be able to increase it.

Honda on the other Hand can develop their engine freely until end of February after which the development will be frozen.

Frozen as in most fans appreciation of F1 if Mercedes continue to have an unbeatable combination in 2015.
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone............
