    Roland,

Thanks for your advice. It gives every symptom of what you have described. As for the VIN it is on the A pillar and when we rolled it off the truck it is too close to the wall to open the door to read. I couldn't even get a mirror in to try and read it that way. I do however have a number that appears in a "gap" in the dash down near the bottom of the windscreen.

That number is VF 36 DXFVJ 2113 1389.

I will be ringing the dealer in a moment or two to see if he will give me the details so I can fiddle along from there. I will also price a starter from him. Problem is he is 220km away so it is not always easy.

Will email you after I have spoken with them.

At least I now have an excuse to use the 203 every day.

    Peter J (Flash) Flanagan

PS do you know the Torpies?

I totally agree with what Shane has posted. There is no strength of metal in what remains there. Cut it out and weld new metal in. Cheers Roland

Remember the days when WRC and F1 etc. were all telecast live. Every round! Well - not any more. Sad to find out that only one Formula 1 race will be telecast live in 2018 by Ch10. That...

Yes you can but the result will be a lot of noise on overrun (ie when slowing down) However - that crown wheel is so badly worn it's not worth the trouble. You'd have to reverse it and then set...

In my 2l Hdi (2007) 307s (same engine), there are some big fuses in the box with the ECU in the engine compartment. It should be the box behind the battery. I would disconnect the battery...

Brasso also works well when cleaning the surface of acrylic. We used to use it in teaching plastics in schools a lot. Like toothpaste - it has a very fine abrasive in it and takes the surface off...

Can't see how that would work - no body would go out for Qualifying! :headbang: Unless you based the reverse grid on the last race results which means DNF cars would be at the front of the grid. ...
