    Hi Pugrambo,

*Have you pulled an engine out of a 306 leaving the box in place?

we got the donor 306 1.8 8v engine/box out today, easier when you just cut the lower rail away.

The manual says you need to take the engine out with the box but i wonder if you can move the manual gearbox to the side to get enough room to put the engine in from the top?

The Renault 19 was a tight fit as well couldn't be done but i think the 306 has more room.

Again the manual is hopeless, flywheel timing ,TDC are not covered ,so i will have to mark and be careful as i swap over the clutch/flywheel.

    Regards
    Cas

    Hi Sean,
Sent you an email offsite but don't know if it would get to you. I would like to call in and discuss the 406HDI with you, as well as my old 405 SRDT.
    Cheers

that's true but this car was intended for 1956 sale and the chassis was marked 56 like all other 56 models
The other cars managed to be completed in time so did not have the light mark through the 6..
It is a gray area but I think of it as a 56 model, finished in 57 and probably not sold until 58! though we will never know for sure...
what irrates me is I have made it clear on the ebay ad of the discrepency and yet I am accused of misrepresenting it....
There are certain members on here who attack me any chance they get...only a couple but enough to cast doubt on my integrity and that is unfair and unjust...
    Cheers

    Hi Sean
Cold rainy day in Cootamundra with nothing happening at work. Just thought I would drop you a line and see how the green CX I sold you is going or not?

Funny how the mind wanders when there is no input.

    Cheers Cooch

You might remember coming through Wellington in your 604 with a trailer behind one afternoon ( probably a weekend). You drove my 605 out on the Dunedoo road from Wellington, taking it up to over 150k just to see what it might be like. At the time you really liked it.

Sorry, Sean, you might remember my name - Peter Ferguson My home # is 68466237
  7. thank you

you have me at a loss though as to who you are lol

    probably just getting old

Can't wait until they poke fun at the Citroen owners. They'll be wearing cardigans, long socks and sandles.
