    Hi there Graham,

Wrote to you about 2 weeks ago re hp for a 8 valve 1.9ltr 405 auto sedan

Is there anyway which can confirm 110 hp is correct for a new camshaft.
Overseas supplier wants me to buy 2 camshafts as he reckons 110 horsepower engine needs 2.
Can only assume he is thinking of M16 405.
It is definately single cam head.

    Cheers

    Hello Graham,

I'd been meaning to get back to you but am travelling in the US at present and it had slipped my mind.

Since asking about the guard the 306 has had a major auto gearbox failure which will be uneconomical to repair so I am sadly going to sell it as-is (if someone will buy) for wrecking or repair.

So no point in my replacing the guard so I will not need the one from your car. Hope this does not muck you around too much?

    Best regards,
    Ian.

    Hi Graham,
Can you spare a minute to tell me about the breather holes on the top of the BA7/5? I always thought that the nylon fitting on the top of the int. housing was the breather, but I notice that there also seems to be a small aperture on the top rear of the main casing where the two halves join. At first I thought it must be a flaw in the sealing, but closer inspection suggests to me it should be there. Are you able to shed some light on this? This appears to be the point where oil's leaking when the car is on a steep gradient,
    regards
    Simon W
  10. Using harnesses but on the same mountings, standard belts would be OK.
