So before all this happened and I was bored stiff I started playing with an oil pump. I came up with a plan to make a high volume pump easily as you...

The oil temp is a problem, I had the opportunity to see that it goes way into the red under normal race conditions and that is creeping up to 150...

The 165-170 will be easy and reliable and I am sure that you will get that from 98 octane as well. Frans.

As you said "I never believed that". It is almost always an over estimate if you speak to owners about their car's HP. One will have to go very...

    Hello Frans.

Sorry that I've been a little shy of late.... Hope you, your family and your brace of Renault R8 Gordini's are in perfect health. Would love to keep in contact with you (not just for your interest in Alpine A310 matters) and catch up for a coffee sometime real soon.

Just in case you've not got my new e-mail address..... It's "[email protected]".

    Cheers Frans,

    John.

    Hi Frans
What are the spindles worth as I would be needing 2 ? What ignition system are you using, it looks like a custom fit crank position sensor? I am trying to get these 2 race cars built, but I'm flying blind without all the blokes from the track in SA . You forget how valuable those beers were after the race.

    Hi Frans
Interesting, I was racing a left hand drive dauphine ,Brian Evans has it now.The Gordini motor that was in that is going into the R8 . It has the Dacia block and all the other good bits . Just not sure where I will race it ? After the Dauphine I raced a 911 and then a Camaro that Peter DuToit now has (the yellow and white one) , the good old days when it was easy to go racing.
