What would need for the ID dash mate? Cheers Dorian
  2. Hi. I did mine some years ago and I already had all the hard parts so my main cost was lots of different seals, LHM and my time. It's not a hard job but you need to have all the bits ready to go. I suspect that someone like Denton Christie at European Autocare would be able to supply the bits needed. Costing is not easy for me to work out.
It would be a big job switching power units as you would also need to change the whole casting of front suspension mounts along with transmisson shafts and lots of other bits. A job really for the SUPER keen!

    Hi DS,

I noticed in an old thread I read recently here on AF that at some point in the past you had an older pre 66 DS that you had converted to LHM. I was just curious to a ball park figure at what it would cost to do this as I was contemplating doing something similar and was wondering if it would be financially worthwhile? Now If I've got this wrong and you're not the person who had this done then I do apologise but if you are, would love to hear what your thoughts and opinions were on the subject. Also would you by any chance know if it was possible to have say a later D Special engine put into an early ID19 car?

    Cheers!

    zoran
