    Hi David,
I wonder if you can help me? I bought a Peugeot 308 XSE at auction a few months ago and have a P0016 fault logged Peugeot tell me the timing chain was replaced at 52k which was 62k ago but as the service was missed at 100k will not warranty the work that was done by the dealer who has gone out of business I will not go back to the dealer in Port Maquarie and I have my doubts about the one in Newcastle based on the quotes I received from them. I understand you have had some health issues so I don't know if you could look at my car or if not could you recommend someone? I'm in Forster but am willing to travel a reasonable distance to get this looked at,
kind regards and a happy new year,
    Lance Baxter

Hi, thanks for the info on your car. It sounds great with all the xtras and with you a Citroen mechanic/ enthusiast. Iím looking at my 2nd Cit, even after going through AL4 dramas with my first!
Unfortunately the 4.5k Iím offering on that other car is a stretch for me at this point, so couldnít get close enough to yours. Re-sale is an issue in Aus, but also one of the reasons I like them- so cheap to buy!!
    Cheers,
    Toby

Hey mate thanks for your help about which oil to use on my 207 gti. I'm giving it a good service with new oil and filter, spark plugs, transmission oil change and coolant.

There's no rattle on startup, but do you think it's still worth taking it to a local European mechanic to replace or check the chain tensioner and see if there's any need for a valve cleaning? Just want to make sure the car is in perfect health and I want to look after it.

    Hi.

If you could come quickly it would be appreciated.
If I know what to fix I will fix it but the more I study the problem the more reasons for it I find.

Hi mate. To save messaging through the forum, my phone number is 0421170135, that may be easier to organise a day to come down. Your help is greatly appreciated as i think I am just about all out of options.
    Cheers, Michael.
