    I access those nuts from underneath the car with a long extension or two. That 3rd nut you mention is hard to get to and I use a universal /flexible coupling to access that. :2cents:

    I would remove the drive belt/s for the water pump, fan, alternator, etc and spin each item by hand, if there is a bearing issue you will hear and feel it. :2cents:

    I'm not sure but it sounds like you may have a leak, maybe one that is to small to let a lot of water out, but will let air into the system when it is cooling down. The heater is at the highest...

    The OBD analyser will not tell you what the exact problem is, but from the codes it will tell you where to start looking for the problem. You will still have to do the old fashioned diagnosis.
