1959 Simca Beaulieu project on fb / Meta

isnt that a VERDET under a different name ,would it have the flat head V8?
 
It was the base trim level of the Vedette overseas, and as far as I know would have had a side valve V8 derived from a Ford flathead. Assembled locally by Chrysler Aust from 1959.
 
yes i wondered about the spelling .
 
Chrysler used the base model's trim to get the price down.
