I watched all the practices and the Race. As far as someone who watched their first Grand Prix in 1958 is concerned, I thought the Melbourne F1 GP was a cliff hanger from start to finish. Some younger people seem to be of the opinion that more noise equals more excitement. Some of them drive the legendary "Doof Doof" cars and "dance" in venues that could easily be sued for inflicting permanent damage to their patrons ears. In the same way different musical instruments have their own sounds, the new F1 cars have a new and distinctive one. I can't remember the last GP race I heard the cars tyres squealing, this one I certainly did. Thanks to some minor noise abatement.
