It's not a Camry (87-93) the turn indicators are wrong (and the scoops). But I don't know.

I think you've misunderstood the post. He meant what bumper is this "FROM".

In other words, from what other model did this bumper come off.

It would have to be a custom made after market bumper The simple reason for that is, there's no hope you'd find two different cars that take the same bumper bar, all the angles/shapes/lengths/mounting points would be different !

my 1st impression was charade... the GT model.

Its def an jap import job (I think... ). I wouldnt have thought Camry or Magna. Magna never had those driving light insert holes.

i know where the car is and i know a bit of the story behind it but even the owner doesn't know where the bumper came from
the bumper was found by another member of the family and was slightly modified to fit the 505
but as to what make and model the car is off is so far unknown
it's not too hard to make brackets to mount a different bar on a different car so long as it is mostly the same width
i have had part of a jap cars bumper from a magna on a 604 in the past and i'm always on the lookout as i go through different places seeing what else there is around

I agree.. Looks like a Toyota bumber to me. I'm guessing a SECA bumper. As soon as I saw it, it looked like the bumper from my mate's old car!

I'd also say that the bumper has not been taken directly from any car. It's looks like it's been custom made, based on the design of another car. If that makes sense....

from what i know the bumper wasn't made
it came from another car and slightly modified to fit around the guards of the 505
so basically the bumper is straight from another car that was slightly narrower than the 505 but the sides have been trimmed
i'll see if i can get a few more pics of the car unless andrew has some more of it as i know the owner pretty well

I only took the one photo of it.

could it be off a cressida or similar japanese luxo barge from the late 80's, early 90's?

The bumper that is fitted to the 505 is from a mid 90's Nissan Pintara (the Oz built superhatch shape)

The park light/indicator is not original as the pintara has an indicator only. Thats why the lights look a little out of place in the holes.

Most pintara bumpers are black, so it looks a little different in body colour.

    Regards,

    Richard

No, the TRX and the Ti were a different bumper altogether with built in driving lights.

The bumper on the Pug is just a normal Pintara executive painted red. If you look closely, you'll see it is exactly the same bumper as the picture i posted, just with a black stripe through it and the chrome moulding removed.

ah now i see it better
    you lightened the pic
you are right the TRX did have the lights in them
    now i remember
a mate of mine had one not a bad car really
all this bloke did is cut along the side edges to fit round the guards on the 505 as you will see in the other pic

    Well done mistareno!

I wonder how many drinks someone would need before they even thought "Hey, let's see if the bumper from the Pintara fits on the 5oh!"
