Default Does anyone use TPG as an ISP ?

They look the most appealing to me. What is their unlimited 256 plan like?
I have been with optus cable, but from an unlimited plan (practically) they have gone to 3 Gig, and charge more for the privilege. Having exceeded that it is now down to 28 k. For $70 a month that is ridiculous.

I've heard from a friend that TPG are horribly slow. He's moved elsewhere.

I suggest you check out (and support) DCSI as they generously host Aussiefrogs.com for free.

    DeKa,

Maybe you can answer this as someone in the know about broadband in oz.

Will there ever be a cheap plan for adsl in the near future.

Whilst the speed of adsl would be good, I would go to adsl based upon "always on" and the ability to use the phone at the same time. Sad i know but I have friends with cable/ un capped adsl, they do the downloads for me.

Any chance of a say capped 72kps connection with uinlimited downloads?

Not speed but the convience of always on net?

Not one of these 500mb rip off deals?

    Not profitable?

    thanks

What happened to my previous post?

Was it deleted?, or are we having problems with the board?

This probably had something to do with it.

As a courtesy to the host of aussiefrogs (DCSI) it is requested that advertising of other service providers is not encouraged on these forums. We would also suggest that anyone requiring a quote from any ISP do this via PM or e-mail but also as a show of good faith, also contact our hosts to ascertain their ability to supply this service in recognition of their generosity to aussiefrogs.

    Riiiight....

    ok,

Well in the first instance, wouldn't this whole thread be invalid?

and secondly, if a post is removed, edited, modified some sort of explaination is provided either on the board, email or private message?

Something not being "encouraged" and blanket sensorship without notification are different things.

    Sure was.

I deleted it. I did put a comment in, but I've just realised that users can't read the comments - only moderators. I'm still learning! From now I know that I need to post a private message. Sorry for the mistake DTwo - won't happen again!

Just so you know, this is what I did, and what I see, in the attached image.
I was confused at your post wondering why I didn't repond to you, so I logged out and saw that as a non-logged in user you cannot see what I did.

Hope this clarifies the situation - it wasn't blatent censorship I promise!

I might just close this thread and leave it at that.
