    Default Stupid Race Comentators

Watching the Start of the 24hr, one commentator keeps refering to the Monaro's as 427litre, and the other 2 haven't wised him up.
Perhaps i'm wrong, but it just dosen't look big enough to house such a big donk

They did make some 7.0 litre Commodore Coupes, though not for the road - the yellow Nations Cup Coupe is a 427ci.

That's what they are 427ci Chevy's or 7.2lt i think it converts too. The point being the commentators, are made out to be professionals, & this race will have world wide coverage that's why 2 of the commentators ar imports for the event.
I think it was the English bloke making the dud comments, perhaps they don't have 427 Chevs over there.

That's as bad as "It's an annual event that takes place every year"
Incidentally, I heard the 427 litre comment and I think what he said wasn't what you think; it should have had a few punctuations in it. He said "........driving the 420...........(insert deep breath here)..............7 litre Monaro"

You're possibly right Alan. But he'd still be wrong, as the motors are 427ci, not 420ci.
I replayed the tape of the first hour, and the statement was made 5 times, with exactly the same phrasing. After that he changed to big chev and 427 Monaro.
