Forum is firing on all four cylinders!

Hi & welcome to aussiefrogs.com Froggy Forum
It is hoped that members will gain knowledge from other members & share experiences with their French car(s) within this forum.
Searching the net it soon became apparent there was no medium in Australia that adequately allowed ease of discussion across all the French car makes & models.
I am currently restoring a Renault 4 which I believe is a '63 model. As you might expect, getting parts is a bit of a problem.
"There must be someone out there with parts for these beasts" I thought to myself.
The net proved fruitless as most part sources were overseas so transit costs may prove prohibitive.
All you need is someone that knows someone who HAS that hard-to-get part & if the same idea can be reversed we have two happy parties
We have included a Classified section to give the impression of an online swap meet which should (if we get many members) quench many enthusiasts thirsts for cars & parts.
Please tell your friends about this forum - the more the merrier!
Enjoy your stay & have your say

    Hi,

I think we may still have some Renault 4 parts, unfortunatly most of it's been chucked to the tip over the last 20years. We may still have lights, trim pieces etc from 5 cars. If your interested just e-mail me and I'll see what we have.

    DoubleChevron,
I may be after a new body now as the one I intended to retore is more rusty than I would have prefered.
Probably still going to need some panel beating which ever way I go.

Believe it or not, this probably wasn't the first post. The forum ran out of space on the server & pretty well lost the first 3 months worth.

Gibgib you're a hero for banging this forum together and running the bastard for the 4 years or so after you got it going.
What French cars have needed for a long time in Oz is an injection of youth, cos a lot of the buyers through the years have been fairly old, and I think an internet forum has done that.
This forum has added a lot to the community of French car owners in this country, and that has in turn added strength to the product.
The importers/retailers/servicers of French cars owe you a debt of gratitude, though they probably don't know you from Adam.
Well done, and thank you for getting us this far.
I smile a HAPPY FROGGY FORUM smile for you!!!!!

Well done GibGib, this forum is an invaluable resource.

Believe it or not I first discovered this forum in late 2000 when I was looking for info on 206's, I came across 206gti.net at the same time. I was at work and my boss came over, I shut down my browser and never registered, I somehow forgot about the site until I re-discovered it about 2 years later hehehe

speaking of blasts from the past... has anyone ever bothered searching Gooogle for their email adress contained in inverted commas ?("[email protected]")

I did it the other day and it was a real trip out for me when I see comments I posted on a website in 1995! And that website is still live and hasn't been updated since 1995!! ehehehe was a bit of a trip
