    Default Our Local Garage

The little garage just down the road from us had an open day as part of the "Arts et Metiers" weekend (it's a celebration of skills and craftmanship).

This is the view that greeted us as we walked in:

They do all the work in the garage - chassis, body frames, bodywork, engines, upholstery. All the cars are originals, mainly barn finds.

Beats the livin' daylights out of our local garage (which oddly enough is officially called The Garage) - wiz - can you put a few names to cars?
Those people that say I know - generally don't.

I think they will make you a 57 Atlantic - as long as you have the donor chassis and engine :¨) Once that little hurdle is jumped there's only the matter of money. All up, a couple of mil should see you home.

I want the HS - 11.76 litres of aero-engine V8 that sounds like a Harley on steroids. It sounded like each bank was firing simultaneously. No reverse gear either - it had to be pushed back into its place after being taken for a spin. So not only would you delay the other drivers in the multi storey carpark, you would deafen them too.

    They should be so lucky!

Ron - if you go to the gallery all the pics are named

    Default Not a problem...

Wiz as I'm from Dandenong I could offer just cause that they produce said item (infer dark threatening menace), if not plan two is to fabricate a chassis and make an engine. Now to get the blue prints ....now I'm really stuffed.... Still want one but.
