    Icon5 French Car Reviews

Although this relates to Citroen it is equally applicable to Renault and Peugeot. Why do we see so little of the French cars in reviews and comparison testing? Is it because writers can obtain access to other makes more readily? Or is it an editorial decision to only feature 'what the public wants'? (it is of course what they think the public thinks is what it wants - ignorance is bliss!)

Anyone have any contact at corporate level to find out what we can do to help get the French cars into the media? I'm sick of reading about $70-100,000+ cars that we never see or could afford to buy. Also fed up with reading reviews of cars from the same handful of manufacturers.

So does anyone have contact at corporate level in Citroen Aust?

The Clios and Meganes seem to be getting a bit of a run lately, and they have said nice things about the DS3 and RCZ.

Maybe Citroen needs to hire Volkswagens PR department?

I've spoken to a motoring journalist who tells me that getting a car(s) from Citroen is not as easy as it could be and that this may play a part in the level of media interest!

If that is so no wonder there are so few reviews or write-ups. You'd think Citroen would be falling over themselves to get cars into the hands of the media!

Unless they are scared their build quality and reliability issues will get into the hands of someone who could give them a bad wrap!

I was told by a service guy at a major sydney multi-franchise dealership that citroens were the most frequent "return" - often on the back of a tilt-tray.

Maybe because (in Renault's case) they have nothing new or updated to review?

The "new to Australia" (read been out so long they are nearly due for a mid- life update) Clio, Megane, Fluence have been done now, the Koleos is old news and really - they have nothing else.
