Icon5 Transport Sydney to Brisbane (Feb 2011)

    Hi all,

I have won a few items on ebay and am looking for ways of getting them to Brisbane.

Anyone driving up in the near future?

Two DS wheels (clean - freshly powdercoated) and a bunch of small items, would fit in the boot of a small car with room to spare. Items are located in Sydney West (Newport).

If you can help or offer suggestions for cheap transport, would love to hear from you

    Cheers
    Chris

    Chris,
Newport is up near Palm Beach (Home and Away's Summer Bay), on the beach so it's extreme North East, not West. We don't have beaches out here...

Does buying/agreeing to remove an entire because you want just one part from it count toward being a "real nutter" ??

    It counts towards it, yes.

I can think of two better measures.

One is that you remove the wreck even though you don't actually need any parts from it at the moment.

The other is that, once the wreck is sitting at your place you don't dispose of it because you might one day need a part from it. You justify it to yourself by saying that the most efficient way to store parts is on a whole car.

Offer of a free beer still stands, I will also add a few AF stickers

...but more seriously, I would be happy to contribute to fuel costs.

The vendor doesn't want to package these items for freight, either I get lucky here or I'm up for a two way drive

    Cheers

I thought you had sorted this long ago. I could certainly help, but you might have to come to Cit In to collect.

Get Lamoor to get in touch with me, I could pick them up at the CCC meeting and bring them to Qld for you.

    ...oohah a reply

I may have to take you up on that Craig, we'll see, I was, for a good while hoping to drive the D to Citin

It just seems that my progress is soooooo slow, and the money I am spending at the moment to speed things along may see me turn up for a day trip in something more mundane...

Thanks for your offer, so far you get the beer and stickers

    Cheers
