    Default Old Motorshow pics

I'm currently going through the long process of converting my old slides to digital format and I've come across some 1986 Sydney Motorshow (still at the old showgrounds) pics that I thought I'd share.

I believe this Fuego was presented to the Playboy Bunny of the Year that year.

    What's with the twin headlights?

Not sure what this was doing at the show, but according to my notes it was there!

This was parked outside the show.

This wasn't at the Motorshow, but at the Truckshow at Yennora of the same year. It was sandwiched amongst the Mack trucks. From the info I have, it was used in the Bourke to Barossa Bash of that year.

These are some pics of the 1987 Sydney Motorshow.

These were taken at Oran Park during 1987.

i can tell you exactly who STILL owns that white 203

i can also tell you i have travelled many many miles in said car

the person who owns it is not an AF member and would probably have some trouble in turning on a computer

at the time that pic was taken it would have been 403 powered and probably not far from having a 404 linered C type block going into it

from memory it later went 1971cc powered

the car isn't on the road anymore but it is still in the same hands

What about this one - ok, it's only from 2003 but the detail is in the background, so to speak...

For those interested in the car, it's the Volvo SCC (Safety Concept Car) which was basically turned into the C30 a number of years later.

Those twin headlights are after-market accessories, probably from a company called Morette. If anyone knows where I could get a set in Australia I'd really appreciate it! Swap + cash adjustment for VGC standard headlights!

Didn't the Sauvage cop a set of the Morettes - try WA, as that's where most of the cars went!

Love the old pics! Any chance of getting them bigger or is that just what the slides come out as?

Looks more like a shrunken S60 to me.

I remember that R5 at the Adelaide Motor Show too...Renault kept threatening to bring it out, as Fiat threatened with the Uno as well. I guess we got the AX and the 205 in the end, so there was a minor victory for lovers of Euro Super-Mini's.
