    Default 505 wooden steering wheel.

A while ago there was a secondhand wooden steering wheel to suit a 505 for sale. I've done a little search, but I've an idea it may be from 'pre-crash' days.
Anyway, anyone know where such a thing might be purchased new, cheap? Some I've seen go for 100's and that sort of price is out of the question.

    Ever had a wooden wheel?

I got thumb cramps from mine, so I sold it.
The posh ones have padded leather bits where your hand goes, and if you are really lucky in a head on, your skull will hit one of these soft padded bits, not the hard wooden part.

Got one on the wife's triumph 2500S and both of us much prefer it over the old plastic one. Crash performance is somewhat academic for that one though.

At that kind of money I think I'll pass.

There's one on ebay which is nearer to the amount I'm (tightarse) prepared to pay, but I'm unsure if it would fit a 505.
Anybody any idea what it's off, and if the splines are the same? The seller say's it's from a Pug because it's got a lion on it. But that's no guarantee, our eggs used to have lions on 'em.
