Default Roll Call -Who haven't we seen since 'GodHelp Us' helped us

We've been back home for a few days and there are some very noticable absences. Most noticably our 'internationals' - well we've got the pom from under the bridge at catshamlet - but now he is on the market for saturn V rocket even going to the moon won't free us of himand hotrodelectric is holding up the US of FA end of the deal. BUT we are missing most of the NZ contingent and I'm not sure I've seen any of the South Africans. That is aside from the oz guys/girls who we know were using the site.

It occurred to me that there may well be members who have an email address hidden on their computer of an AFer who they have corresponded with in the past and have not maintained the contact other than on line. they can perhaps drop them a line and let them know of the travails of AF over recent weeks
Rather than have everyone put up their mailing list of the past 5 years I would like this to be a list of people who haven't posted PC (Post Crash). If they have then they can simply reply that they are back again.

Country Cousin is now hiding out under the name Armadillo
Thanos is lurking around, but currently can't log in as old age is preventing him from remembering his password from 4 years ago

The for FFS ask him to email Gerry and get a known password installed! I must suffer the same problem I couldn't remember either!

That's the problem with pwds: they seem logical at the time & are always logical when you are reminded what they actually are!

Just remembered, since he can't use PM the contact for Gerry is: gibgib(at)aussiefrogs(dot)com

Discovered today that AF was back up in a recognisable format.

Thanks to Gibgib and all those responsible for surfing the tsunami to safety.

Yeah but do we really want him back here

I think he was going to drop them a line about it. Or he may just come back under a different name. I can suggest one he can use

    Gee
I turn my back for five minutes and you guys crash the site!!

Must be all that Global warming thát is doing it,carbon dun it and all that. too much hot air!!

That asíde, nice to see the site is up and running and the old hands that have been so helpful to their fellow froggers can resume doing what they do so well.

As always any support that is needed to ensure a future free of "events" such as this will get my full backing and whatever is required to keep us as a community. I have personally met some of the finest people connected with motoring and made many great friendships through contact with other froggers.

Well done to those responsible for the resurrection!!

Sorry I wasn't around to help!!

    Ken.

I have an email address for CorneSoutAfrica, I can contact him and give him all the details.
He was a pretty enthusiastic regular, it'd be sad to lose him.

I also see that Binky and Harley haven't checked in yet, and we are also missing Citrolero.

I may be able to get hold of alan505.

does anyone correspond with 'cairns id' - and weren't there some from the tablelands and cooktown?
    also re-inventing oneself should maybe include some cross-referencing ie "... 'f.k.a. '..."

    Nice to be missed!

Country Cousin originally registered just after the backup was made, so no trace of him remains .

As Matt said, I'm trying a new name. I am feeling thicker skinned, and maybe a bit faster after 4 years of AF. So time for re-invention.

I see CorneSoutAfrica registered yesterday, but has not posted yet.

    Cheers

Yah- I had emailed Corne just a few minutes ago, but that looks to be a bit late- eh. I also had email addresses for Henno in SA and Praveen in NZ, so I took the liberty of contacting them, too.

Many thanks for all the hard work fellas. It is absolutely fantastic to see Aussie Frogs back up and running. Many thanks also to Aus-City for allowing the interim site.
Is it possible to salvage the post 2006 data by getting people to re contribute the most important elements from the major posts? I believe that this would be extremely important where posts were of a technical nature for reference value.
    Cheers Gerry

    Where's my pal alexander?

He was with us when we were in 'the other place'. Have we left him behind, has he had a Mystical Awakening, maybe some kind of 'out-of-body experience? Lucky [email protected]@rd.

Or has he been abducted and probed by aliens in a most ungentlemanly manner, and had his head turned?
