Doesnt really apply as it never rains in Oz right?

Water in the works may cause fires

CitroŽn UK is to recall 3,600 C3 cars, not because they look a bit funny, but because the ABS system may fail.

The cars delivered between 15th September 2002 and 15th January 2003 may suffer a fault by which the brakes will work but the ABS system may not kick in.

Some cars have experienced water ingress into the ABS control unit which then causes the warning light to display and ABS facility to potentially fail. In exceptional circumstances the ECU could even be badly enough damaged to start a fire.

Owners will be asked to take their cars to their local CitroŽn dealer where the vehicle will be checked free of charge and modified if necessary. In the meantime, CitroŽn UK has set up a special information line on 01753 843498 to answer any customer enquiries.

It was a bit more involved than that, but yes, basically.

We got a second reminder letter in the mail today so I guess they consider it important.
