    Automotive Ballet

It's been quite quiet on General Chit Chat so far today. Came across an old favourite of mine, the Saab Suite from the 80s.

This has probably been posted before, not recently though. You've got driving round a track, rally driving, motorkhana driving and then you have automotive ballet, which is what this film contains. Pure driving skill. Poor tyres

If you like the magic that Tiff Needell pulls off, you'll like this. Actually it's more impressive IMHO

    The link is below.

Note it is about 32MB, but it's a joy to watch on a Sunday afternoon

It's a pity car manufacturers don't do these things anymore.

I remember watching this on VHS as a media release from Saab in the late 80's. I thought it was awesome.

Now I realise they must have been doing pretty well to get those big 9000's go round like that.

"All of its cars from the 1.1 litre 205 through the ugly duckling 309 to the 2.2 litre 505 GTi had a rightness and a righteousness about them that turned every humdrum drive into a journey. Someone, I once wrote, in the bowels of Peugeot understands handling and how a chassis should feel." - Jeremy Clarkson
