    Brisbane Auto Salon

Well i am sure most of you have been hanging on the edge of your seats for this time of year, but thats right its is coming this weekend to the Brisbane Convention center. roll_lau

Ahh i will be there in the Xsara, done abit of work to it over the last few months( all comsmetic rice mods of course) and it has been sheltered away and in work shops so be good to get it out and get some interest like last year.

But anyway be good to some froggy members there... from what i can gather i think i am going to be the only frog there so i will need all the support i can get as it does battle with the jap box's.

When is it? I'm up there this weekend...it'd be cool to see your car in the flesh.

    Roger that Jules,
I will be there draped in a french flag for sure. if your car fails to gain attention, I will stand next to it in a nice sudductive outfit for you so that some people will come and look at your beast. That will work for sure......
Seriously though, best of luck with everything, hopefully i'll be there next year with a little something of my own.

I'm gonna try cruise along on Sunday.

You shouldn't have the only frenchi there Julian, as a guy is entering his Clio Sport series 1.

There better be plenty of Poontang there.

    Xsara,

Do you want the Aussiefrogs banner? I can give it to GTI124 and you can send it back down to me.

nar you need to go to your local supermarket, aisle 14, and get a few bags of sunrice... you should be fine after that though, getting closer... there is still to much dignity in your car. you need to strip it of renaults personality and make it your own.

    mmm..maybe I'll change the Renault mark to a Honda(the type R red ones)...now that'll be ricey!

    Good luck Julian..
Its a tuff crowd, @ AS's. They go crazy over silly things and then it all changes for the next year.
My mate owns a sweetly modded/riced 206-GTi and he's been aproached by a local ricers club to enter with them. But he's not all that sure, as in sydney its the BIG HP cars that take the cake, last year i watched YUME, a just recognisable/registarable 300ZX, make 311Kw @ WHEELS!!!!.. Not bad considering the car covers all bases and is quite driveable.
Either way cheers mate - chris

Well I made it along to Autosalon on Saturday with 16 year old son of GB in tow, I can't believe how well patronised this event is, almost 2 hours in a queue (GB doesn't queue ), we stayed for about another 2 hours and the queue was just as long waiting to get in when we left.

Caught up briefly with Xsara I think we may have a Citroen convert in the family, son of GB is none too impressed with my cars but hasn't stopped talking about the Xsara. The car looks amazing those of you who may have seen it at Citin in Maleny know it's no average Xsara but it's moved on since then.

The lad took some pics but I think his mind may have been on the scantily clad young ladies blush

Hey Julian, how did you go, 'ya certainly got our votes

Edit: Eeek I'll resize these pics when I get a chance tomorrow

    Cheers
    Chris

good pics chris, and thanks for the banner again

yeah i didn't win anything, but i wasn't expecting too though, so it was a good result either way it went. i started up our club with a mate a while ago now, and we went very well as a team. we got 2 club trophies, and another 4 trophies within the club. one member whom is having his car shipped down to sydney for the final autosalon event, expensises paid.

there was extreme amounts of rice there... i think the paddy fields in asia are pretty bare now.

For those wondering, my car is sitting around " mock up" gold bullion, bhich ties in with the red carpet with the Euro dollar emblem on it whci all ties into the new number pates 81ING, pronounced by the greater majority as BLING.
It was a good weekedn though... had abit of fun, and ruffled a few feathers. but i wasn't alone, there was a mach1 clio in the hall showing his french support too head_ban .

since the Cit In, my car has gone back for a full retrim in leather now( dash and full doors, plastc painted to match, used 7 cow skins ) imported some clear lights from the uk, aswell as a a new front grill and eyelids too, then the car got fully resprayed in gris quartz (orignial colour, but a slightly different shade) with PPG prismatic (rainbow affect) sparkle throughout thehoel car.

    here are some more pics.

Just wondering, how much does it cost to insure the car with its mods vs insuring the car standard?

Julian, it looks veeery nice now dance I particularly like the grille and the taillights. Had thought if I got a C3 that I might try to source a similar style of grille, but that's all just dreamin at the moment.
Hopefully I'll get to see it Sunday on the run to Bribie.
