    Pug Stereo passwords

    Hi guys,

I now have 2 Pugs with standard Eurovox H/Us and both of them are password locked since I have removed the battery. How do I go about getting the passwords.

    Cheers

I'd goto Peugeot with the serial numbers on the radio, the chassis numbers from both Pugs and proof of ownership. Those codes normally are stored with Pug dealers and it should be pretty stright forward for them to be given to you.

    John,

it probably isnt the brightest thing to give out you and your dad's stereo code on the internet!

There is an edit or delete function you might consider using.

A friend of mine had her Toyota's H/U locked out after the battery died, and the dealer had no code, because it's user set. Turned out that her dumb brother played around with it after "learning" about reading the manual, and had no memories what so ever! Luckily the dealer reset the H/U for free, just around 2 hours time wasted and hassle.

I know Ford has a code set into their radios based on your VIN number, add something to it, divide by something or other, multiply by sales person age and the last 4 digits of the reminder form your code.. or something along those lines wink Takes about 3 mins for the service guys.

Holden radio has to be reset by Eurovox in Melb (or so they claim). Few years ago after a repair to the Commodore (VS I think) used at work, the apprentice nominated with picking up the car felt he had the insight to guess the 3 or 4 digit code.... he failed. No radio for 2 weeks until it came back from the dealer.

My Pug306 Eurovox code was given to me by the dealer who sold the car. I do not know if he just punched it in before selling the car, or if it came preset by Eurovox.
