What's the best way to learn to co-drive(for a rally driver)?

I'm interested in being a co-driver but I'm having a hard time finding any schools in the US or even in Europe that offer co-driving lessons. Can I learn to co-drive by taking a 3 or 4 day course?

It had been suggested that I find a driver and "buy a ride". "Buy a ride" means I pay all the expenses for the priviledge of riding in the passenger seat. Is buying a ride a good idea or is it unfair to the inexperienced co-driver who ends up paying everything?

Ask around the local car clubs. A club here in Brisbane is running a free "rally beginners class". It is on once a week for a few months. Great way to learn about navigating.
