Queensland Track Day

Following on from a discussion currently going on in the aftermarth of last weekends Sprint day at Queensland Raceway, it has been suggested that a track day is organised closer to the end of the year so that not only can the Queensland people attend, but also any from down South who would like to make the journey up.

Let me first clarify that this should we get a track to oursleves, that ANYONE is invited as I imagine that we could have heaps of track time even with 20+ cars.

OK, so we have two options.
1. Go to one of the Sprint days on October 18, November 15, or December 13,
2. Organise our own track time.

Obviously the preference would be to have the track for 1/2 a day, though depending on the costs, this could be out of the question.

So I have an idea, can I please have a show of hands firstly who would be interested, and secondly, take a look at this calendar site http://www.queensland-raceway.org.au/Calendar/calendar.html we'll see if a mutual date can be organised.

Would be better to use Morgan Park... much more fun circuit, some option for different layouts... closer to Sydney and the bush if you want to encourage wider participation.

And you'll probably get a whole day for less than QR costs for a half - and probably find it easier to get a date.

I'd love to join you guys but I am getting married on the 21st November. So taking any other time off apart from time for the wedding and honey moon is going to be impossible. cry

Honeymoon? Did you say honeymoon?

That should certainly put a on your face!

Did I ever mention that my honeymoon was a trip to a Surfers Paradise race meeting?

You know I'm in. wink Morgan Park is indeed a lot better circuit. The only problem is, I believe it is booked out for the rest of the year. I'll check it out though.

**Update**
QR will be over $1300 for 1/2 a weekend day, $2,800 for a full day (not including any possible discount).

I'd like to know if Morgan Park is avaliable before asking about QR.

You can always make a weekend of Morgan Park too... spend the Saturday flinging your wheels around the circuit, overnight somewhere like maybe a motel in either Warwick or Stanthorpe, then do a winery tour around Stanthorpe Sunday...

Either way, I'll still be in. The weekend thing sounds good though, girlfriend would love the winery tour.

Hey Brad, saw you pulling out of the Muddy Farmer's carpark around 5:30pm. I'm positive I've seen you pull out of there months back, not sure if you saw my pug back then. Getting the pug back Monday or Tuesday, Stewart's going to drive it for the weekend and make sure everything's running well. Sure sure, Stewart. :p
