I suggested this last week, but didn't get a lot of response. Yeh, I wouldn't mind a few of us ACT Aussiefrogs goin' for a spin somewhere, or even just meeting up for a beer in town one night. My Xsara is about 200 klms away from its first service, so after that I should be able to fang it a bit more, not that I am a 'cogger' or anything hehe.

    head_ban cheers! dance

Just found your posting, I don't always read this Forum. Meeting at the Cotter and a run around to Tharwa would be good.
Since you have a Xsara, have you been in contact with the ACT Citroen crowd? They have occassional meetings and runs, the last one to Robertson in Sept.

Don't forget - there's 4 million of the buggers in Sydney compared to our 300,000 population.
We have 4 takers so far. That means they should get over 40 cars at their drive days by population percentage!

    Yes, I would be interested.
    The Tharwa trip sounds great!
As long as there is a bit of notice, I should be able to get along.

Depending on the date, I'd be happy to join the run somewhere... I'll be working in the ACT on Dec 14 & 21, as far as I know.

I wasn't aware there was an ACT Citroen crowd! Where are they hiding?

    cheers!

How does Saturday 14 Dec at 10am at Cotter Reserve near the pub sound as a meeting place? We can then either stay and chat or go for a drive.

    And on the 15th?

I just hope they don't shift my work, but they've said they have a shortage of people in the Canberra area at the moment and won't advertise for more till after Christmas.

Last week I was supposed to be on clover... working in Bathurst, just duck up to the 24-hour race on the mountain...

Then they decided to change my work to Sutton! A three hour drive to the race and an extra trip back because I couldn't finish the job without missing some of the race!

Not sure about the 15th. Unfortunately I am involved with the implementation of an interface between 2 large government computer systems that weekend. If all goes well It might be finished sat but when working with systems this large & complex, there are always little surprises and things you never planned for.

It takes however long it takes!!...... At least the moneys pretty good.

    cheers!

If there's a drive organised I'll come if I can (big ol' blue 505)

Cotter Road sounds good (I like going down there anyhow), although while we're down there surely we could take a detour through some of the logging trails?

(Recalls getting lost on one such trail near Tharwa and banging a dent in the sump going down a waaay to steep, rocky, eroded, ex-logging trail...)

    Maybe not...

Let's tentatively say the 14th Dec, or would 7th suit people better?

I'd rather keep to the tarmac, but the R12 is good for off-road as they have a mighty sumpguard. This proved useful on a recent Canberra Renault club outing past Captains Flat which holed a R25 sump but my car came out unscathed.

7th is impossible for me... I'm 1600km to the north that weekend.

    Hi All

Saturday the 14th at 10am is fine with me. I should be OK for the 7th if we need to.

How many confirmations do we have?

You have a confirmation from me if it's the 14th... but definitely not if it's the 7th.

I can make the 14th but not the 7th.

and I agree that we should stick to the tarmac (I just paid $500 to get my front wheels rerolled.)

Unless the project slips, I can't make in on the weekend of the 14th. Any other weekend would be better. Anyway, not to worry, if I don't make it this time, I'll catch up with you all on the next one.

    cheers!

    Dan.
