Online sticker ordering

Hi everyone,

Last night I had an idea which might make it easier for me to distribute stickers, and easier for people to obtain them.

In this thread: http://www.aussiefrogs.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=000071 I suggested that maybe I set up an online sticker ordering facility on my online store.

I would simply list the stickers in a separate product category for $0.00 and people could then order 1 or whatever quantity of stickers they require. It'd eliminate the e-mails etc for me, and make the whole thing alot easier for everyone.

What are people's thoughts? If people like the idea of it I'll get it going right away, and then a link could be placed somewhere on the site in time for Sunday perhaps?

There's no cost to anyone of course - we can handle the 50c stamps tongue

DeKa,

Sounds good, I'll use it when I need more stickers. What about a "stamped self addressed envelope" setup? It must cost you a fortune in postage.

Ralph,
I just spent $551.00 at the post office so 50c stamps here and there don't make too much of a dent. It's my way of saying 'thanks' to gibgib and the community for such a fantastic forum.

It gets a bit out of hand handling sticker requests that's all. If it goes into our normal system it'll be more manageable

Just another thought - I can list the Aussiefrogs shirts which will be available soon through this system too.

They'll be charged for, but if we do this, they would simply go through our online credit card gateway and we can send the money and the order to Greenblood for him to ship.

Save lots of time and effort there

Mmmmm.... send money... to GreenBlood ooohh that sounds nice he..he..

If you can do that Derek that would be so good, we don't have a credit card facility here (yet!!).

First batch of shirts happened this afternoon they look pretty cool I have sent you two with a bunch more stickers (in one of those funny yellow express packs, you should get them tomorrow Friday 11th, in time for AFD Sydney wink

Early next week we'll get some pics of shirts with costs (anyone volunteer to be the model blush )

Disclaimer: Shirts will be sold to help cover costs only, GB will not be getting fat on the proceeds :p deal :p

Cheers

Sounds like a great idea Derek.

You could also list 'donations' to gibgib on the online store so that he can keep this place running.

Ralph - Go the Roosters indeed! I went to the Souths match last week. Great game.

Well I'm glad that I came up with a good idea. I'll get it organised tonight and put up another post when we're done.

I'll list a sample donation of say $5

Chris: I will list the charge of $7.50 for freight for the shirts - that is how much an Australia Post 3KG Red (not yellow!) Satchel Bag costs - flat rate Australia wide. You'd be able to fit probably 3 or 4 shirts in it for that price.

Are people happy with $7.50 freight for the shirts?

Another option is GB sends us a pile of the shirts and they can just be dispatched in our normal freight run of the afternoon? Up to you.

I'm happy to just be the money collector. Dad's happy to 'donate' the credit card merchant fee. He follows the forum sharply, just doesn't participate

His only request is that I make the Aussiefrogs category the last on our site so as not to confuse our customers too much!!

Aussiefrogs.com is the last option on the product menu.

I will wear my Aussiefrogs shirt. Make that I'll model my Aussiefrogs shirt tongue on Sunday.

Prices etc have yet to be worked out so we'll just have to wait a while till I list them on the site.

Hi all,

Looking forward to the shits. I'll be ordering one as soon as they're available. Will you have them in big i.e. XXXL? I like a loose shirt on my trim athletic body! The $7.50 postage is okay. How many can you stick in a post pack for that price? I'm sure my brother (Boodek) will want one too.
DeKa, your email link on the order pages doesn't seem to do anything.
Macquered, I wish I could attend some footy matches now and then but living in Wodonga makes it a bit hard. We're lucky to even get it on TV here as all of Win's programming is done from Ballarat, they are a Melbourne-centric mob. Having been born and bred in Sydney (Concord West) I miss the footy but am a big Roosters fan.

Cheers,

Ralph.

Sorry about the e-mail link guys. I'll fix it tonight. [email protected] if you need it

I'd estimate 3-4 shirts per post pack (but I haven't seen a shirt yet - postman hasn't come)

$7.50 is what it'll cost so no profits there.
