    Our Pugs

    Hi all,

    Here's a pic of our Pug collection.

    <img src="http://users.tpg.com.au/nosneb/3Pugs_2.jpg" alt=" - " />

    The green one's mine and the other two belong to Boodek. We picked up the wagon today, he got it for nothing. The owners were selling the house and wanted it gone. The body is rough but the parts are good.

    The brown one he picked up for $500 and it's a ripper. '73 auto. It was traded in to Baker Motors for a new car. The owner got sick of it stalling all the time. It turned out to be a blocked fuel filter in the carbie. The body is straight, no rust (that fresh, clean Wodonga air!) and it runs well. He should have it on the road soon.

    Two saved from the Arabs!

    Ralph.

    Looks like you've got your own little club going between you two down there.

    What glue did you use for that big bonnet mascot? It really gives a 504 that finishing touch .

    The wagon's a 1980 model, 7 seater in fairly poor nick. The basic shell is okay, but it has a bit of rust and the engin looks like it did a head gasket about 8 years ago - that was the date it was last registered. There's water and rust and scunge everywhere - head, block, sump, etc. I intend to get all the bits off it I want, then put the remainder up for grabs, either to a another pugeophile or failing that, the wreckers!

    When we get going he jumps up on the roof. He's got paws like that gecko on the Brock tyre ad, I just can't shake him off!

    We had a 504 the same brown when I was a kid. It was a square headlight 1.8 though. We traded it on a orange/yellow 2.0 .

    Actually, when I get rich I wouldn't mind a set of trapezoidal headlights for it; I reckon they really suit the cleaner look of the early cars.

    the ones to be on the lookout for which are extremely rare are the twin globe trapazoidal lights

    dave may correct me here but i am sure they only came out here on the early TI's and as such were never that many around

    they are also pretty expensive if you ever do find some but they are really good lights
