I now am the proud owner

Of a 1989 Peugeot 405 Mi16, got the pink slip today. So my parents were happy for me too get it... I have had a big smile on my face all day.. I have to give her a wash tomorrow morning (thanks to the lovely red rain we had in sydney due to dust storms, oh and my mates next door neighbours having their house concrete rendered), so out comes the bucket and in stays the hose...
I'll take some piccies tomorrow... if someone can host them for me so they can be posted, that would be appreicated. Please post an email if you can..

I wonder what would happen if you cut a hole in the bottom of a bucket and duct taped it onto the hose?? Reckon the Water Waste Police would nab you? roll_lau

Hey Mitch, you car looks nice! congrats head_ban

It's the same as mine except for the wheels and front grill. I have 15" polished alloys & the grills white.

I recommend getting a Mi16 badge for the back. it looks a bit plain from the back with no badges.
you taking of which pinstripes???!!! the red ones? why? First thing i'd do is give the grill some TLC :p

I took a trip up to see Paul Vasallo on Saturday, he wasn't there. He only comes in on weekdays, or he may come in on saturdays if you book. The place is called Gladesville Prestige Cars, its close to the taco bell on Victoria rd if your familiar.

they have a 306 gti-6 there for sale (18,000) with number plates pug16v. I was tempted to rack the plates!

We should get a cruise together soon!

    i'd leave the back badgeless
also the black grille just breaks up the white a little
i'm not a fan of white cars but that one i do like and i'd put it down to the black grille
i'd also get the lower grille done black as well if it were me
    one other thing
where is the high level brake light ????

Jason, i know exactly where it is... It's only about 10 minutes from where i live. I too saw that GTi-6, and thought cool plates. But i like the ones i have ordered. PGT-405. Suprised they were still available

As for the Badges, my mate took them off, i should actually ask him for them, just incase i want to put them back on in the future. But i too like it badgeless.
Reason why i am taking the pint stripe off is i want to look a little more late than it is. conversation between my dad and my friend who i bought it off.

Dad: why you taking that off.
Mate: makes it look like an 80's car.
Dad: but it is an 80's car.
Mate: i know but i don't want it to look that much like an 80's car.

Haha. i just feel that i'll like it more off. Yeah, The grill could go for some TLC, i was gonna give the interior and tyres so on Sunday afternoon, BUT it rained.

As for the cruise.. i'm up for meeting up.. If anyone else is.. the more the merrier.. Maybe we should make a post to find out who is interested.. I'll PM you though..

As for the high brake light Pugrambo. not sure... where are they normaly positioned???

    Hope i covered everyones questions.

the high brake light normally sits in the middle of the rear parcel shelf and sits up high on a stand to be able to be seen over the rear spoiler

What's that mark on the guard, just in front of the door? A sticker?

I used to own a 1990 Mi16, almost identical to yours. Great car. I miss it.
