Somewhere between a Lambo & an E type.

Just panning through a bit of old Froggy car history & came across this.

An interesting site - I had a look at the Wolseley 1500 and it brought back some memories. My first car was a '58 Morris Major Mark 1 - the econo version of the Wolseley.

Loved the comment that the
Torsion bar front suspension, allied to good steering geometry gives rock-steady road-holding and cornering.
Yeah right! To think what Citroen was doing at the same time!! eek!

Remembering Austin Lancers, I wondered if they added any comments about the sophisticated rear suspension on the car?? Or the modern shock absorbers..... Funny with hindsight, isn't it.

spot on: the lambo and the e type love child ...so true...
the 74 matra on the other hand appears to be the lovechild of the ferrari (the one in magnum PI) and a jensen interecptor or the aston or the later z....loved seeing the early opel kadett (note the the early '70s kadetts and the early gemini similarity.. )not a bad site ....

cheers

The seating in those Matra's was three across. Like the Mc Laren F1, but the driver was still on the left and not forward and in the centre like in the F1.

Arrr....doh! I guess I should look at the photos on a link before I open my mouth. There's a bloody photo of the seating arrangement.
