Straight Vegetable Oil and Bio Diesel

Check out the current issue of RENEW magazine for some good local information on these options. Most newsagents stock it. I picked up the latest copy and there are a couple of articles and photos of installations in several vehicles.

Bogmaster, I notice you are from Canberra also. Are you using biodiesel or SVO in your car. I have both my vehicles running on B100 at about 25cpl. I would be interested to see your set up.

    Nah.. I'm a could a been champion.

I'm just really interested in alternative technology.

If I owned a diesel I would consider it, but the 300 dollar R12 wagon finds it hard enough on the LRP.

    cheers!

    FWIW,

Over in UK, the Government is so concerned with conserving non renewable energy resources, that they have "chipper dogs" which are poochs trained to sniff out cars using this, whereupon the owner/opertor can be prosecuted as well as charged the equivalent in fuel excise that would be charged on the fossil fuel.
Ah yes, Governments & their efforts on Conservation always seem to be framed around how much money is in it for the Government & who has whose hand in whose pocket & how deeply.
They really are a joke. It won't take long before these cowboys out here latch on to that scam if it becomes popular.
Of course we'll be told it is then an "Environment Tax" being used to buy patches to stick over the holes in the Ozone layer or something equally as insulting to the intelligence. mallet moon moon whip
