Anyone have a wish list (within reason)

Anyone have a wish list (within reason) for what they'd like to do (performance/suspension/brakes/etc) to their car?

    I'm thinking;

    Head work
    Exhaust
    ECU tuned to match
Lowered suspension with dampers to match
    Sticky tyres

Speaking of tuning the ECU has anyone done this to their Pug with/without engine mods? The reason being most cars have always run rich just as a factory precaution and well by advancing the timing a little can get a couple of hp out of the engine safely especially running on 98RON. When you guys mention engine tuning are talking the factory ECU or going aftermarket? If factory where and how is it tuned? It's just my 1600 had a CA18 and it was so tuneable I had different maps for different occassions no need for aftermarket at all!

    Wish List,

    Where to start

Stop the rear brakes from staying on.

Working out why the car will not rev fully after distributor rebuild.

Welding the rear crossmember bolt holes.

things that come to mind under brakes/performance

A big Type R painted on the back

Well now that my rear brakes don't stay on I guess I can look forward to:

    *new radiator

    *new exaughst

    *new carby

    * GTi struts (want neg camber at front)

    *GTi springs + shocks

*GTi steering rack (3.4 turns vs 4.5!)

    *15" alloy wheels

    *complete respray

I think that about sums it up without even thinking about performance mods

Hmmm, my wish list is for the race car as the 405 is just perfect as it is.

    Stiff rear torsion Bar
    Thick ARB
    LSD
Rebuild current Mi16 motor that is sitting in garage
    Aftermarket ECU
    Full roll cage
    Racing seats
    Perspex windows
    PAS

    That will do for now.

My wish list is rather long:

    - Stop power-steering fluid leak
    - Sort out cold idling issues
    - Recondition distributor
    - Fix sagging rear springs
    - Fix sticking handbrake
    - New brake rotors - make front ventilated
    - New front calipers
    - New tyres
    - Fix aircon
    - Fix seizing power windows
    - New rear exhaust
    - Fit PRV V6 tongue

    Cosmetic

    - Fix all the panel and body damage
    - Full respray

    - Replace missing rear bumper chrome strip
    - Paint alloy wheels
    - Repair cracked dash
    - Fix split leather on driver's seat
    - Make up new leather rear headrest covers

All of this requires alot of that colourful plastic stuff that is supposed to reside in my wallet but isn't there for some reason. disappro

...well the S16 has most of its wish list done as you can see....::
"UK spec, 2.5" Peugeot Sport exhaust and muffler. K&N stainless intake filter. Short Shifter. Esscargo GrpA clutch and lightened flywheel. Esscargo 4-point Roll-Cage cutom fitted. Sparco Ultra racing seat, custom fitted with 4-point harness. Bendix pads all-round, DOT-4 fluid. Tuned ECU. Optima battery. 17" Lenso Mean6 wheels, in custom Gold and polished lip on Falken Grb 205/17/40 rubber, using custom spun-alloy adaptors. Spare set of 16" MOMO wheels for track use with AZENIS rubber. Kenwood head-unit and stacker. More to come, specially in tuning.
**Recent changes include, lowered on Eibach Pro-Kit springs in the front struts, and lowering of the Tortion rear to match GrpN specs. As by Esscargo.
EBC slotted and dimpled discs all round with EBC V4 green stuff pads all round. As by Esscargo.
New K&N intake pod low in the engine bay, custom installed by myself. Compete removal of old intake system, saves considerable weight too. Very stealth install and small noticable increase in power.
Re-mounting of four harness points for racing and Sparco racing g/knob. All these modifications done by myself.
Also completed the extra sensors to the triple imobilliser alarm. Also performed by myself."
...as quoted from the froggy gallery. But to come are.
    *GTi-6 Exctractors
    *Quad-Throttle bodies
    *Head/port/cam work
    *Aftermarket ECU.
    * a whole lota supersprints...

But even i must admit its a bit excesive.- chris

    ooo-er, wish list huh??

well, start with a mi16x4 or 205t16, bring either of those over from england. Then a full rebuild, add nice big wheels, nice kits, lowered, bigger turbo (maybe a supercharger for the 405) full respray, the full monty.

    then i would be happy.

    .. Kristian, i think you mean a T16, which is basically a 205 WRC... !!!
As for my car, the specs mean to read as its a UK spec S16 306, the exhaust is a pug sport item the previous onwer got bolted on. My computer has had some timing advance put into, but now that i have had the car for a few years like that (3.5), i can honestly say that its done nothing....lol. Either way i love my S16.. - chris

The Police don't like it though.

Was really fun though, we were just going back home from the park, local street, our street leads down to the park.

    Warning only from the cops

i think i'd get a funny look with a 4month and 19 month old in the back
the 9 yr old may be ok though

and then i have to find room for the dingo
be good for her to learn to ride in the back of a ute
save all that white fur getting on the seats when she looses her fur for a few weeks every year

she used to go everywhere when she was a pup but she stays home these days

i could always mount the kids car seats in the back and teach them to wave to everyone behind

    Wishlist.. hmm.. got it..

    205-T16 sandwich..
    [sex][205-T16][more sex]

Ever since driving one a few months ago, I'm hooked. Just have to figure out how to align the bank balance now..

Oops here comes gravity, back to reality.. or something like that according to Eminem..

So in the interim, my real wishlist is:

    - New large-valve, ported head for the Mi16 motor from someone like Hiflowheads
    - 280/290 cams
    - rollcage
    - time to fix all the little dash rattles

    Cheers
    Steve
