    ANY TIPS ON STORAGE ?

As some of you may be aware, I have to put the 405 away while I work in Canada.
Have you any bright ideas on things I should do ?
Have a cover, it's inside and dry !
    Going in on the 16th.

    James,
If you can access some silica gel it would be good to have inside the car & under the bonnet. It comes in crystal form & if kept in cloth bags or brown paper bags will absorb moisture in the air thereby stopping mildewing of the interior and/or moisture contamination of the electronics both inside the car & under the bonnet.
Some of the washing machine manufacturers used to toss about 2 kgs of the stuff in with their machines when they sent them from overseas to help keep moisture out of the electrics/electronics during transit, so if you have a friendly white goods retailer he may be able to help (if he understands what you are talking about)

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

    James,
If it were me, I would put the car on blocks. Disconnect the battery & arrange for someone to drop the terminals on every week or so & just fire her up. How long will the car be in storeage? That has to have some bearing on to what extent you go to on storeage precautions. If you will be gone for a year or more, a new cam belt prior to putting the car back into service wouldn't go astray along wirh a complete change of fluids.
