    Could it be the wine??

    gibgib,
On some of the postings I am finding that when I read them that the lines are so long that they tend to disappear off the end of the monitor. I have been having the odd computer problem admittedly (hence the odd multiple listing) but on some I'm sure I'm not that p!$t am I??

    HiYa guys,

Adding the pictures sometimes does this especially if you have less than 1024X768 set as your screen area.
"Berlingo Recall" topic has done it big time due to the schedule I added. I am going to get rid of it now anyways for that reason

Alan you know you can scroll across when this happens?

    Cheers

    gibgib,
I got no problems scrolling across, it's just that I wear bi-focals when using the computer & I start to suffer RSI of the neck
BTW I tried to put a suggestion up before; is it disabled or is there a knack to using it?

Oh you mean on the site itself?
    http://www.aussiefrogs.com/com.html

That doesn't work I know, thanks for reminding me. Just one of those when I get around to it things

    What was your suggestion?

    What was your suggestion?[/B][/QUOTE]

Nice to know it is the site & not me. Tend to break out in carbunckles when these things happen

Just a thought, but when I see cars like jr's & know the amount of interest that the LHM comparison seems to have generated worldwide, I was wondering if it is possible to have these sort of things put in a section which is easily accessible for future reference. A gallery could also be a good place for various members to display their pride & joys like David C's Gorgini & I am hopefully buying another car in the near future which is a bit different & may be of interest
The head rebuild which was shown a little while back is a typical type of item which can easily get lost in the system. Anybody else got any thoughts on this subject??

Yeah sure that can be done!

So you suggest some of the forum content should be a permanent fixture on the www...
    I like it
Wanted to do this anyway but there weren't the numbers in the early days.
Anyone have any objections if I create a page on aussiefrogs with your username & vehicle image you have posted on the forum here?
You can have your real name next to your image but I will post the link here before it is "public" on main site for any changes you may have.
Won't start it until next weekend.

Alan if you could put something together in Word format for LHM story I can convert to HTML or I can just use what you have posted & emailed to me...

Are you up on web authoring?

    Awesome ideas !
Perhaps a members cars section ? I would love to see mine next to Andreas's !!
Having Peter T's head at a more accesible juncture may encourage him to finish the damn thing !!
    I know Chipper wants one.

    gibgib,
I think what is already there just about sums up the LHM story, so I'm quite happy to go with that.

"web authoring??" in the words of a "prominent Queensland political identity 'pleez explayn'"
If you mean can I talk a lot of bu!!$#i+ Yes I do have that ability but anything too complicated with this typewriter connected to a TV set with the flashing lights can become a somewhat nerve shattering experience

excellent idea, something that's missing on the site is pics.
they're one of the most popular parts of any car site.
not sure how literate you are but something where members can upload there own images would be great, could save you a bit of time but then again you'd want to control what's uploaded just in case.

i wouldnt seeing your 405 either, you havent posted a pic at all yet have you?
anyway if you still read this before you leave have a safe flight.

Web authoring - I guess a definition is creating web pages!

No probs. I can use what we have on the LHM comparision.

We do need pics on the site don't we.
Is there a way that users can upload their pikkys themselves Andreas?
I don't mind doing it but there will be a 7 day delay or so for updating.

I know an old relick in Tamworth whom has owned over 300 cars in his time - most of which were French. He has all photos of each so an idea would be to make a bio for him on the site.
    Interesting bloke

Any links that "pop up" in here could go straight to this page http://www.aussiefrogs.com/submitted.htm
I don't know if I like the table but

Just thought I comment on the above.
The strength of this site is the passion of its members and having a gallery is a great idea. Perhaps a car of the month type of situation would be good and could come from any of the 3 makes represented.
This is a great site, I have tried Katrinas for this type of chit chat but it was always hard to come across anyone using it. It is nice to see such vigorous discussion between people with the same disease.. er passion for French marks. (However my favourite post is still the one about new Toyotas in the To Buy section)

i have no idea how to create the script but i assume if it's possible for visitors to add links to sites that pics should also be possible.
but 7 days isn't a long wait, if you're happy to do it and can cope with the extra work go for it.
    i'm all for it.

It would be better if the pictures were stored locally as other sites come & go but this one is here to stay.

It is cool for me to add users pictures no probs.

leigh, you are suggesting an online concours or similar? Could be cool.
How would it be judged do you think?

    By the way leigh,
I have just edited that Toyota post in the most subtle way I could think of

    Thanks for the reminder
