    My new guitar

    Hey fellow Froggers,
Having remembered a previous well read thread about guitars, I know some of you may be interested in the latest addition to my collection.
I just picked up, second hand but in beautiful condiition, a Maton Mastersound 526 Deluxe. Tobacco sunburst flame top & back, white scratchplate, mother of pearl block inlay fret markers. The top of the range MS500 series maton hard body. An absolutely beautiful guitar, my fingers are sore from fiddling with it all weekend.

Oooh a Maton, very very nice!!! I'm so jealous tongue

For the non-guitarists out there, Maton is an Australian guitar making company whose products are VERY sought after the top guitarists around the world. Unfortunately, it's not very well known by the general public.

I'd love to have a Maton classical guitar and a Dobro(so Maton do make one?). All I need is musical talent frown

    niiiiiiiiiice wink

I havn't played for about 5 years, and it's been longer since I had lessons.

I recently picked up a Squier Fender Stratocaster. any chance I get I have a play with it, going to take up lessons again and put the guitar to good use soon wink

    Bill,
Sorry mate I don't think they make a dobro. and yeh, wish I had more talent too. I was in a band for most of the 90's in Canberra, but somehow ended up as vocalist and never got to use my guitars on stage.
I also have a Maton EM325C acoustic electric, and my other favourite is my Gibson Flying V. Though I have to say that within 10 minutes of plugging it in, my new mastersound overtook the V as my favourite.
Hmmmm, might have to upgrade my amp next!

It started with Stereo (Speaker) owners ... the ever increasing need to reach audio-nirvana.
