    Remote central locking?

    Hi all,

The previous owner of the Mi16 series 2 that I have just bought has lost the romote for the central locking.

Is it possible to get one from Peugeot or is this way too expensive.

Or using an aftermarket imobiliser the way to go?

Parry, im not sure if peugeot can supply this.
However if you decide that aftermarket will do so, then let me know. its relatively easy, considering you are doing a engine convertion.-chris

ps, basic alarm and 4 door central locking (not the boot thats extra) in parts with 1-point imoboliser and alarm, will cost from $200. Plus you labour, ask thomas to help pester sales clerks and youll get it cheaper,

Havent checked for myself but I have been lead to believe that the code for the key is also secured in the infra red reciever in the roof of the car, with the map lights etc. Take the code to local Peugeot dealer, swap 100$ and you have a new key.

An alarm should be able to hook into the existing central looking system. That's what I did with my Golf GTI, the remote locking was extra, so I just got an alarm that was cheaper and did the same thing.

I don't know about the 405's but the Valeo controler for the AUS spec N3 306's are a bitch to work around, i need a complete wiring, logic and schematic diagram...... Golfs and VW are very reliable like this. Pugs on the other hand??.... i really don't know enought about 405's. - chris
