Nero (the CD recording program) can do it all nice and conveniently.

Alternatively you can check out http://www.vcdhelp.com for more info than you'll ever need.

Agreed with rek. Nero will encode to MPEG2 and the rest of it. Also has a funky menu builder so a menu shows up when you play it and you can select which video to play. Just found that out last week with Nero 6, not sure if previous versions had it. tongue

p.s. GreenBlood, if you want me to convert the videos, I'd be happy to. As long as I can grab a copy of the Pikes Peak video 'cos I have only seen it once or twice.

    Chris,

If you've got yourself a copy of Pikes Peak video you shouldn't have much trouble finding Nero?

I have made a VCD on my sister's PC... it took AAAAAGES - like 8 hours to encode before it was ready to burn It's a slow old computer though.

I've never tried on my Mac but I know I need Roxio Toast (Don't Burn it, Toast it) to do it.

I am pretty sure that version 5 and 5.5 of Nero need a sperate addon pack to encode MPEG2.

It something that u can buy as an addon.

go directly to kazaa and download the full version of nero, and make sure that you download the mpeg 2 encoder, if not hit me off line and I can send it to you. Failing that buy a dvd burner, ah 4.7gig of movies, only way to go.

And if you want to make menus without certain text appearing .. try the "Nero Faker" font ... google it.

w00t! Glad you liked it. Thanks again for the Pikes Peak video and the rest of the stuff. Hope the re-encoding of the videos doesn't take too long.
