    "Matilda"?

A guy at work told me about a couple driving round Australia in an older French car called 'Matilda'.
Aparently they had a crash or something ijn this car.
They were reenacting some older un or something? Does anyone on here know anything about this? It was reported in the Newcastle Herald... renault_

he must have been the same place as me Shane! I hadn't noticed it either.

What a sad story. Is there an update on the position as of today? Is the car being restored? Any explanation of how the accident actually happened. If this was a rear end collision the approach speed of the Merc must have been outrageous, or was it a subsequent roll over that did the damage?

    Cheers

I've heard that the Mercedes driver was reading a map at the time of impact, and that the 5CV is awaiting to be repaired pending the insurance payout.

How deaf is the Mercedes driver then?

The car would have had to go over those rumble strips to get onto the same lane as the Citroen... how can you not notice that?

Yes as stated earlier today, work is underway on the rebuild. I am actually sitting here typing this on their Fujitsu tablet PC while I wait for some drivers to download so that I can update virus protection on Matilda's on board computer.

I am amazed at how much work has been done from yesterday even.

Gerry is taking many pics and I am sure they will be on the web later - MUCH later.

For all future reference on this topic will be under the heading in the Citroen folder.
