I am trying to find pictures of the Suzuki Swift (Cultus) as used in the 1989 Pikes Peak race.

I am after more picures like the one on the top left of the JPEG below.
I already searched high and low (ie Google searched) but didnt find anything apart from the picture below.

apparently the owner has no financial limits....

I was more after the graphics Suzuki used on their original Swift (Cultus)as well as the tech info.

There is plenty of information on the later Escudo (twin engined "Vitara") but I can't find anything on the original Swift.

Does anyone have the history book of the Pikes peak with more pictures?

Makes you wonder why he picked a Swift then ... without a body kit it'd be a bit of a sleeper, otherwise every ricey would try and drag it (and probably get embarressed too blush )

something different to WRX or GTR or Rx2's I guess.
Dont know. But it makes for one expensive swift. Apparently only about 150 of those things exist world wide.

the bodykit actually does play a beneficial role in the swift's 0.32 drag co-efficient.

    Which just propmts this question.
What are the various drag figures for French cars?

Ahhh ITSMAD, arguably the car that kicked of the modern FWD drag scene, here in OZ.
Tekkie, That particular swift used to do high 12's in FWD mode with NOS.
He then spent $1000's, getting croydon to cut in a Cultus, body pan and fit the AWD running gear.
I have the full article at home. Oh and a little claim to fame, i worked on the original BIG stereo he had in the car when it was a show car, before AWD...... let me know and ill try to find the FAST FOURS AND ROTARIES ( chris ducks for cover) issue that its in, i think it also had pictures of a cultus and the pike peak version.
ALSO, in the video game GRAND TURISMO 2 for playstation, you can buy that very pikes peak cultus!!! and drive it!!... cheers - chris

    Keep talking.

Im not much into drag racing scene, but anyone that can do 12's in FWD deserves a tip of the cap.

PICS. I am thinking of doing the same stripes on my weakling swift, just reversed colours. Just need more detailed pics.

btw. did you have a look for the stopwatch in your toolbox?
