Remember him? I've seen the car drive past twice in the mornings. Exactly the same front bumper. bonnet lourves, wings and colour. Must live up the road from my aunt and uncle. Couldn't see the driver though.....

    Jez,

This could bring on a storm!

Have a look at the pictures on his homepage... the bottom photo seems to show 2 big dents in the door and just to the rear of the door Poor guy!

The other really weird thing I've noticed about that car previously is the driver's airbag has been removed. Click on the "Interior" link and scroll down to the third photo. Given it's a 2.0L XSi, it most definately had an airbag standard, especially given you can see the passenger airbag is there.

Wouldn't that be the last piece of the interior you'd remove?? My life is worth more than a fancy steering wheel.

Im assuming your in the UK Now.
Funny how common cars, ie Excels and Hondas get excesevly (spell??) riced way over here in OZ, but in the UK Pugs and Cits are constantly riced, but whilst i think that Daves 306 isn't my cup of TEA, (although i like the KIT) its still way more tastefull than some of the moving murals of airbrushed shite that we see in sydney. Ie stock standard 200SX with the most ridiculous paint/airbrush and SIK200 plates....oh dear.
And then all have 100 cows of yellow leather inside on huge 20" rims. Ohh dear again.

I think he retired hurt when unidentified individuals posted unkind responses to the survey sections of his site. I was shocked that people would do such things to such a reasonable bloke.

    cheers!

I think we as 'aussie' frogs arent used to fully modified frogs, only jap-crap. This guy is probably used to receiving compliments on his car in the UK because he mixes with people that modify cars, a Pug being a normal car to modify in Europe.

However here in aussiefrogs, we're not the same sort of crowd (the majority, anyways!). The mean age of the population would be severely higher here than what he's used to and therefore the adverse comments.

But still, you gotta accept the good with the bad. The same liberty you take to create something different is used when someone dislikes it

The problem was that Dave went ballistic without a lot of justification....really. If everyone on the forum was to behave like that, the recent disputations would seem minor by comparison. Maybe people were slagging him with off line emails, I don't know, but on the face of what was said here about his pug I don't reckon he had that much to complain about.

For what ever reason he just spat it badly...really badly mallet

I wasn't round when he was, but from the posts, it seems that whilst his car isn't to every ones idea of motoring nirvana, he had his cerebellum punded way to often by the woofers in his car.lol
Mind you it takes efort and money to create such a car, but no money just a straight head NOT to behave like a toss, or as he'd say a twat.
