    Cunning getaway vehicle choice

A murder has been reported in the semi rural area just north of Dave McBean's homeland... Kemp's Creek.

Some joker has killed someone at Kemp's Creek and is on the lam. The news report says that the guy got away in a petrol tanker with a blue prime mover cabin.

Now you'd think this wasn't too smart... depending on how long it was before the cops set out in pursuit.

Not so fast, pretty easily spotted (think about it... in NSW most tanker prime movers are green (BP), yellow (Shell), white (Caltex) or red (Finnemore's)... so a blue one will stand out quite well. And then there's the problem of ditching it.

Big thing like that, helicopter would spot it in a flash just about anywhere...

But what if he's planning a longer run than that? What if the thing's full of diesel fuel and he needs to keep on going? With maybe 7000 litres of diesel on board he can lap Australia several times without running out!

And what cops are going to put down road spikes for a fuel tanker that might crash and burn on top of them?

No, this joker is smart... real smart...
