With a little more crumpling, a push and a squeeze you could get it in one of those Express Post Envelopes roll_lau

    "Déesse" Roland Barthes, 'Mythologies', 1957

The Déesse has all the characteristics of one of those objects fallen from another universe that fed the mania for novelty in the eighteenth century and a similar mania expressed by modern science fiction: the Déesse is first and foremost the new Nautilus.

As long as they put it in the right bloody post box it'd even get to you quickly!

eBay really needs to update a few things in this department... as some of you know I sell a fair bit of stuff on eBay. whistle The ability to enter freight costs is all very nice, but for things where the physical size of the item is large and cubic weights come into play, there is vast variability in freight costs depending on location. If eBay started calling it 'freight' and made it more obvious to some of the (less intelligent) buyers out there that one may need to increase freight costs because they live in Dampier or Broome it'd make life easier for the poor seller. I even put comments to say such things in listings and I still get hounded by bidders!

    Derek.
