    I heard a rumour somewhere that the new 307 WRC might be designed to win races or something.

    It might not be true though.

    Yes, the colour scheme isn't exactly subtle, Damien, but the 300bhp would compensate for that a little, don't you think? wink

    I think it looks ok, I just can't see it driving on a toorak quality road, let alone a dirt track with bumps and everything...

    Yes, I find myself asking that whenever I see a picture of a current WRC car. They clearly manage to though!

    300bhp is great for Race or Rallye, however imho would be a fuel guzzling waste on our speed restricted roads 150 bhp likely more appropriate. The nose on profile, seems an attemt at radar signature reduction, all angles to bounce rather than return the signal.

    Sorry Damien. I was visualising you whizzing around in it on a "closed" road somewhere in a pine forest with Burns and Gronholm sitting in your rear view mirror and Solberg and Marrko hanging upside down in their harnesses after trying to keep up with you, rather than stuck in a jam on the Nepean Highway. Of course, I can now see that you wouldn't be interested in such things wink

    Well I thing the 307 WRC is damn sexy. The roof line really suits the length of the car. Pity my poor dial-up chugs like a Volvo on the video.

    Rod, having already crush fractured 3 vertebrae, i evade rough roads, like i would the plague. I wouldn't mind that power in my R10 though, it'd take a few seconds off my hill climb times.
    cheers!

    I actually don't mind the shape of it at all. Not sure about this red colour scheme though - watching Burns and Gronholm on the weekend had me thinking back to the nice silver cars that looked so awesome.

    I wonder what motor they will be using ie the same Mi16-based block as with the current cars?

    According to the blurb on the Peugeot web site at <a href="http://iaa2003en.peugeot.de/highlights/307wrc/" target="_blank">http://iaa2003en.peugeot.de/highlights/307wrc/</a> it is an XU7JP4 motor, Steve. Does that help?

    What do people think of the dash / interior of the 307CC
    <img src="http://iaa2003en.peugeot.de/highlights/307cc/images/galerie/big04.jpg" alt=" - " />

    I was driving a current model Commodore in Qld recently and I found that the reflections from the "silvered" sections of the centre console on the windscreen were incredibly annoying. Hope the 307cc has its angles better worked out.

    Cheers

    Reflections from the silver trim aren't an issue in the 307 hatch - it's a 'matt' silver.

    The answer to Steve's question is yes. They decided against using the current EW series engines.
