    Car TV Program Guide

I just came across this TV program guide, which happens to list all the car related programs on in various Aussie cities.

Decent show not the best though. The Glenn Ridge, Steve Jacobs and Bridget McIntyre trio aren't the best. They had a segment about the Alfa 156GTA which looks ugglllyy, apparently according to car experts Glenn Ridge and co. it's a quick car, great handling yadayadayada. If you want a good review of a car read Motor or Wheels, otherwise put the volume to zero and enjoy the viewing ehehehe.

Lol, I knew there was a reason I kept forgetting to watch it. Still, I hope they are a little more charasmatic and enthusiastic than Phil Scott from Drive Time.

If I want decent car reviews I tune into Top Gear on BBC World or 5th Gear on Lifestyle.

Likewise for magazines I turn to 'Car', 'Top Gear' and 'Evo' - all british and all far more comprehensive than the australian ones combined.

5th Gear is on Fridays at 8pm and repeated on Saturdays at 5pm on the Lifestyle channel.

Top Gear is on at 11:30pm on Thursday nights on BBC World, but I don't know when it is repeated. Keep an eye out in your tv guide.

I was going to say that I was disappointed with the show... They've got the occasional interesting segment on car-related stuff, but I've found their car tests to be totally lacking in comparative information.

One example was the new Range Rover, driven I think by Steven Jacobs. He basically praised its luxuriousness and said how good it was, and the rest of the segment focussed on Werribee Park Mansion. None of the tests mention any of the car's weaknessess, they seem to basically be just car ads. I find the road tests on the Today Show on Thursdays a lot more comprehensive and interesting. mallet
