    Local Automobiles with the PRV

Just wondering what series of cars actually made it out here with that engine..

are the engine mounts still obtainable through certain ports? or are they a primarilly a custom made yourself job?

These are the one's I'm familiar with.

    Peugeot
    604
    605

    Volvo
    260
    760
960 (only a small number). Apparently the B280 in the 700 & 900 Series is much better than the early PRV.

    Renault
Laguna I (never seen such scary city fuel consumption in my life for that size of car eek! )

Did the XM use it too?

Series 1 XMs with the 2963cc engine. The later 2975 cc engine is different I believe. Also the 24v is different again in both series one and two guises.

Correct me if I am wrong... mallet

Check out this link, although not all these vechicles were available locally it gives the overall picture

Craig, looks like the XM used the same ZPJ 2963 from 91 - 97 with a change from Siemens/Bendix to Motronic in 93

    Cheers

Would that be why a roadworks lollipop guy called the XM "some silver space car" on the two way as he let us through as the last vehicle?

We were coming into Mackay and there were signs saying expect 15 minutes delays. Mrs UFO was extremely keen to see some amenities at that time as we had been on the road for a while! I could see the line moving just down the road but we looked like getting stopped. The roadworks guy must have sensed something and let us through.

While all this was going on I grabbed the portable UHF and whacked the scan button, just in time to hear him say "last one through is some silver space car". I left it a beat or two and came back at him with "CitroŽn mate, it's a CitroŽn" Couple of seconds later I got back "Oh right, um, thanks" We laughed the rest of the way into Mackay dance roll_lau
