I do hope that was a left hand drive or somebody was in BIG trouble.

A Xsara coupe *I think*

I'm guessing a VTS (the 124kw version?)

One of these ???

Sure doesn't look like it now ... is there a policy on this website (wrecked exotics) saying no-one was actually killed in some of these - cause I'm sure the families would find it insensative - Hey what am I saying the "internet" is the father(mother) of insensitivity !!

That is a Saxo, IMHO (Citroen's 106)

There's something about that rear side panel where the rear panel goes, and look at the grille. Unlike that Xsara picture, there is a small rounded semi circle above the chevrons, unlike the Xsaras which has a flat outline on the top section of the grill outline (basically, look at the shape of the outline above the chevrons).

Have a look at this picture.. You'll see that the grille in the smashed up pic matches the above pic exactly bar the colouring - that small "hump" above the chevrons is there unlike in the Xsara. The headlights are the same too.

The grille is non body colour, like most Saxos.

That's my two euros.

I'd agree with that (VTR or VTS version) looking at alloys, grill, bonnet line, snapped arial at the front ... the double chevron survived well. wink

Here's a LHD Citroen a CX that hit a Merc Taxi head on.
Here's also the phto of the driver after the hit; his VERY pregnant wife was left hanging upside down in the safety belt alongside him. Baby born a few weeks later; mother & child both uninjured.
How lucky were they? dance

Driver had only a broken collar bone. Nice to see he turned a nasty accident into something useful roll_lau

Here's the full story; makes good reading.
