Has this ever happened to anyone else?

At our mid week cruise up the old pac, I heard a pop, and then heaps of wind noise. I realised today that the top clip in rubber on the windscreen has popped out. I have clipped it back in, must get windscreen guy to look at it. Just wondering if its happened to any one else.

Simon - was that the cause of your strange windnoise problem?

It hasn't happened to any of my 306's but it happened to a mate in his version 3 STi at over 200 kmh. Apparently it scared the shit out of him.....wonder why?

Happened in my dad's Volvo V70 @ 170 Kmh (in the Northern Territory )

Clipped it back in again, and we hit 200 Kmh, and it stayed

Yup....happens to me whenever I go over 150km/h when I am on race tracks. A bit of race-tape fixes it though

Will have to glue it in with epoxy sometime.

Mine must be, as I got up to an indicated 135km/h trying to keep up with everyone on the last Melbourne cruise...

    I've since found out that 100km/h = 93km/h, 60km/h = 56km/h. dead

Yeah I had this happen in the DS one day. Just as I hit 200km/h the s/steel trim around the windscreen popped and started to rotate wildly, then the wings shot out from under the car and Dick van Dyke started dancing on the bonnet. dance

Wait till I catch that bastard and thump him for leaving dents all over my car.

I believe GB has had the same in his DS, but he just got A dyke on his bonnet moon

    cheers! whip citroen_ a_drink

Ahhh.. yes.. the very solid stainless steel, I think I must have been traveling at about 230km/h when mine popped ( thats given the small margin for speedo error on the D) yes the dyke on the bonnet, popped my index finger in and stopped the leak :p

Hey Craig, what ever your on to-night I want some roll_lau

Geez.. nothing but Citroen bashing to-day and you cap it off with a jolly good trout [email protected]

    Cheers
