    Hi all,

    Mine are:

    A9X Torana Marlboro HDT colours
    Triumph 2.5 MkII PI BRG O/S on 3rd & 4th
Leyland Mini LS with Minilites, BRG with white roof

    Froggy style:
504/505 hotted up, I wish I had the money! I'd have all of them. I'm particularly fond of Dave McBean's Avatar, reminds me of my younger days (pre wife and kid) going up through Coal and Candle Creek like a cat shot in the arse. I still (to my knowlege) hold the record from gate to gate Turramurra to Mt Colah 7min 25 sec in a Triumph 2.5 MkII S. Bobbin Head was a blur. I hear they have locked the gates at night now.
    Any one else done this?

    Cheers,

    Ralph.

and here i am thinking that with all those wonderful responses that someone would have mentioned the Alfa Montreal
arguably one of the nicest things to ever come out of the boot shaped country
and a nice engine as well
straight of the box they are just simply gorgeous
if you wanted to go pre war then you couldn't really go past a nice duesenberg or a marmon

    Just a few:

peugeot_ 504 coupe or cabriolet in dark blue or silver;.....
How on earth did this thread get to the fourth post before the 504 coupe got mentioned?

And then in second place... and only one or two posts since!

Obviously, nobody here has seen on in the flesh... scorching across the Mediterranean countryside looking just drop dead gorgeous!

Any colour except mid-brown... chocolate dark brown looks fantastic, but they all look good.

Before I saw one I always liked the M-B 300SL Gullwing.

It seems everybody has forgotten the other great French marque - Bugatti. The Bugatti T57sc Atlantic has to be the most beautiful car ever made...

    <img src="http://home.uni-one.nl/bugatti/voitures/bugatti/atlanti3.jpg" alt=" - " />

    My favourite Frog cars:
    1. Bugatti T57 Atlantic and Roadster
    2. Citroen DS
    3. Citroen SM
    4. Bugatti T41 Royale
    5. Alpine A110
    6. Citroen Traction Avant
    7. Citroen CX
    8. Bugatti Veyron 16/4 (can Bugatti still be considered a French car?)

    Favourite Non-Frog cars:
    1. Porsche 993 / 911RS 2.7/ 550 Spyder
    2. Jaguar E-type (not the series 3)
    3. BMW 507
    4. Mercedes 300SL Gullwing
    5. Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato
    6. Bentley S2
    7. Ferrari 250 and Daytona

OMG I always thought Bugatti was Italian. Someone please take me out and shoot me for this disgrace. eek!
My claim of everyone forgetting the fastest French marque is wrong too. A 1000bhp Veyron W16 is a bit quicker than any Venturi I know.
Still they'd have to be the coolest citroen_ XM engine around. wink

I've seen 3 Coupes in the flesh and a couple of cabrios. I just think it's unfortunate that they didn't make them with about 4 inches less overhang at the rear.

But Ray, it was the first peugeot_ I mentioned wink . I've actually seen a few of both coupes and convertibles in France, and a white coupe in Noumea in the late 70s.

Impossible question!!! How to get past a Type 57 Atlantic and the prewar Peugeot coupes and move on to a D-type Jag and then the DS and SM and CX? I can't put these in order but I'm glad the Bugatti wasn't forgotten by everyone.

I find it really hard to choose. An early E-type rates high, and then my R8 in the right light warms too!

There's style in some 1950s-60s GM cars too - not quite the place for it, but the streamliner Cadillac (similar to a contemporary Bentley) and then the outlandish end of the finned Cadillacs, a pink one of which we have lurking in Perth, are quite something in their way.

To be quite different, a supercharged MG K3 Magnette is a lovely little car, especially revving and moving fast.

I give up. So much to choose from.

If I really, really had the money, I'd buy an SM. Maybe that's my choice.

It seems everybody has forgotten the other great French marque - Bugatti. The Bugatti T57sc Atlantic has to be the most beautiful car ever made...
I do believe I mentioned the Type-57 before you did

I'm surprised that a Triumph Stag, TR7 and all those US barges made it at all.......*cough* Richard *cough* tongue

Did I mention the sleek Voisin C20?
    (Edit: Yes, I did)

That T-57 thing is quite nice. It looks like someone attacked the image of an old car and made it droopy and swoopy with photoshop. Wild.
